Drew Estate Leather Rose (Torpedo)
[Review Preview]
Intro:
Last of the three recommended smokes for the B&M guy. Let see if his average bumps from 1/2 to 2/3.
Pre-Smoke Judgement:
I'm not an infused or flavored kinda guy, BUT I am a switchin-it-up kinda guy. Plus, you can't go wrong with DE. I'm looking forward to it, and think it'll be the best of the three (other two were the RyJ RSA and RyJ RRN).

1/2:
Sweet tipped. Maybe medium-bodied. Tip is a flavor combo of simple-syrup, cherry, and bubble-gum - not heavily or strong flavored, but easily noticable. Pretty nice combo. The retohale offers the same flavors, with some pops of pepper. The tobacco is just a vessel, and not really highlighted what-so-ever. Almost no tobacco bite or discernable taste/flavor. The recommender said the bite would be pretty decent amd more noticable compared to an Acid. Been over a year or more since my last Acid, so the reference is blurry. It's not as loud or potpourri-ish as an Acid, and maybe has a better tobacco taste...but, honestly can't remember. Not too bad overall for an infused/flavored stick.
2/2:
JFC, I flame purged this sweet and thick little girl, and she lit up with some FURY! Must be the fermentation, because I've never seen it flare up like that. The flavors are there still but meld a little differently on the retrohale near the final 1/3. Still flavored, but not as loud, on the tip. I does remain on the lips nicely, and transfers to the residual. The retrohale flavors become harder to discern, but to me, is more enjoyable, since it's lighter and less loud. The tobacco make a small step up, still not very much, but a tad more of a taste is present. Residual is pretty light with a diluted tobacco flavor, with the tip flavors eroding from the taste gradually. Cherry flavor will pop on the retrohale. Smoke to about the
Trial By Smoke Judgement:
Probably better, to me, than an Acid due to it not being as loud. It was a nice little change-up. Wanted more tobacco bite and flavor, but I'm not sure if infused sticks offer that. $9-ish MSRP. Would recommend at that price to infused/flavored fans or for someone wanting something different and pretty good. I think I'm good, but, would probably try a Crazy Alice (smaller vitola) at the MSRP if the wild hair pops outta my ass again.
Extra Pic:
Because all bums need a sweet lady in their life.

I picked up one of these because I liked the band. The rest of this line was tolerable, like you said sometimes a change of pace is good.

Ever try the Larutan Jucy Lucy? That has probably been my favorite infused/flavored stick, and it's DE. Full bodied from what I remember, and a nice syrupy cap. Been awhile, but I was trying to win some on Cbid.

I have, I tried most of the Natural line. Its a nice change of pace between the sweetness and the pipe tobacco.
