Curivari Reserva Limitada (Petit Cafe)
This was smoked next after the Buenaventura, because I HAD TO SMOKE IT! It was the size I was looking for, and I wanted to compare it.
From what I remember, it was like a stronger and spicier Buenaventura. It cut the nose like a steady-handed surgeon on the retrohale, and offered a nice kick of spice and pepper. Probably medium-plus, but definitely much closer to full bodied and flavored than it’s brother. Still clean tobacco, but with a stronger bite. I think the residual was a heavier tobacco flavor, compared to the Buenaventura. I remember looking up the wrapper because I thought it was broadleaf, because it kinda had that appearance, and cuts the nose like I associate with broadleaf. I’m still no good at telling a wrapper by appearance and taste, and I was wrong again about my thoughts – it’s a Nicaraguan wrapper.
Trial By Smoke Judgement:
Highly recommended. It’s more in my preferred wheelhouse of intensity than the Buenaventura, but that doesn’t mean I think it’s better. I like the price point to quality ratio, just like the Buenaventura, where it’s high quality and nicely priced.
Thanks

Agree - it's a step up and the price is also a small step up on these.
No cigar until you get a par - birdie if it's a scramble !
