Crowned Heads Mil Dias (Mareva)
Intial puffs have a tropical taste that's kinda citrusy and/or pineapple-y, vibrant and semi-sharp spices, a fullness that can make slow retrohales difficult, maybe some pepper, and possibly leather. Clean residual - not much there. Quite a lot going on.
Medium-plus
1/3: Spices and pepper dial back a hair; retrohale still very nice, but fullness can be breath-taking; maybe some pie-crust deep in the background - fullness makes it bit tough to discern.
2/3: Turns a bit more towards peppery vs spices; turns a bit darker, especially on the residual- not maduro dark, maybe 'toastier' is correct; residual is toasty and maybe a subtle-fruity kinda coffee bean; start to take smaller sips to avoid the fullness - meh, not as good; yes - 'toastier' is correct; leather crosses the mind, yet I'm not positive it's there.
3/3: Toastiness uptick; spices/pepper are still there, but not as present - the toastiness is the main flavor now and a bit heavier; semi-darker coffee residual.
Judgement:
Outstanding stick. Very smooth and lots of nice flavors and some nice transitions. Enjoyed the fuller-ness of it, and the unique tropical flavors. Price is good with me. Stick was on the smaller end, but I like these vitolas, and it was a good hour+ smoke. Definitely will be back. Recommended.
