Crowned Heads The Lost Angel TAA 2021
Initial Puffs:
More thoughts than actual tastes of: meat; grainy/texture; lots of depth; softness reminiscent to the 2017 & 2018 TAA (haven't had 2019 yet); a nice fullness with the softness; lots dry, soft, and unique San Andres. Lots of subtleties, and complexity going on. Probably more. Clean residual.
Afterwards:
Lot of the same from the initial puffs, but not really with meat.
Thoughts of Jericho Hill similarities - crackers and bread.
Thoughts of an antithesis to the Chamuco's flavor-town - tastes in the Lost Angel are WAY more subtle, and are tucked-in a single main San Andres taste.
Not really any pepper throughout. However, and as you progress, there's a slight anise kinda spice.
Thoughts of slight honey graham cracker throughout.
Slight light roast residual.
Remarkable construction. Stick never felt hot. Very nice pull-to-burn rate and smoke production.
Judgement:
Pretty good cigar. I was on the fence throughout, and this was another cigar that grew on me. It's outside my preference, and I pretty sure it's another cigar I'd need to smoke another or two to fully appreciate. One thing I do know, is this cigar showcased diversity among the CH brand and San Andres wrapper used in at least three other CH SA cigars - this is the main reason why I think it'll score higher next time, and why I will definitely return. Recommended.
