Pre Light - Cedar, leather
Cold Draw - Cedar, leather
Appearance - Very rustic. Little oil, veiny, little to no tooth, blotchy light brown.
Light - Sweet spice, wood, leather. The resting smoke smells noticeably like leather and cedar which Ive found to almost be a hallmark for Crowned Heads cigars.
1st Third - Woody, nutty, sweet spice, creamy, little sweetness. Retrohale follows the same profile but maybe a bit more woody. Medium body and strength.
2nd Third - Cream, cocoa, sweet spice, leather. Retrohale is smooth holding the same woody and sweet spice notes with a touch of pepper. Medium body and strength.
Final Third - Cedar, cream, cocoa, coffee, barnyard, leather. Retrohale stays the same. Medium body and strength.
Construction - Draw was a bit tight in certain spots influencing the smoke production. Nice even burn, ash is sturdy but a bit flaky.
Overall - A fantastic cigar and one of the best Ive smoked this year. The leather and cedar notes of the resting smoke is intoxicating. The flavor was pretty consistent but theres a lot there to keep you interested. I'd like to have more consistent smoke production but it hardly dulls the experience.
