Royal Bum
Crowned Heads 729 Calloway lane
Beautiful dark brown, smooth, oscuro wrapper with nearly invisible seams, no veins, a smooth cap and hard bunch.
Even burn, flat coal, strong, grey ash and a perfect draw with ample smoke volume and a fragrant aroma and no burn in the throat.
Flavor was of ample richness, perfect balance of herbal and woody flavors, medium strength and generous flavor and body.
A light sweetness, no bitterness, burn on tongue, sharpness or saltiness.
Overall, an outstanding cigar with elegant character.
Total score is 98 out of 100

It really was, all the way to the nub when the smoke and my fingers got hot.
Just outstanding. Not sure how available they are as they were only released twice, and were limited production each time.
Not sure what the release dates were.
Apparently made to honor the head of Cigar Federation's daughters 2nd birthday.

Didn't know about this CH. Bet they're long gone now, but I appreciate seeing a nice write-up on it - especially in case CFed's description on these is hinting towards it possibly being re-released.

I have 2016 listed in my inventory app, so I'm guessing it was 2016 and 2017 that they were released.
They do say "probably final " release the second year in your link, so its a possibility they could be rereleased, but I would kind of doubt it after 5 years now. I would think they would have rereleased them in 2018 and/or 2019 if they were going to rerelease them.

I've gone through a number of your reviews. They are interesting but it's a shame we never see the cigar being smoked. You need to light them up and at least show us the initial burn when doing a review. I think your readers and those who gifted you these cigars would love to see this.

A pic does add a lot to a review.

There is my usual full picture with all bands and ribbons and uncut.
I prefer to show a picture of it before I even cut it, to show all the bands and ribbons they come with, as I remove everything before cutting and smoking, so a naked picture of it makes it simply look like every other cigar out there.
And i do always describe the burn, ash color, ash "strength", etc in the review.
My reviews are pretty detailed and describe pretty much every aspect of a cigar there is, throughout the smoking process, which is done as I'm smoking it, not after the fact, so its all real time, immediate information.

Exactly, the review almost sounds like it's cut and paste. I'm not really knocking it for a beginner it's trial and error. I've read a lot of reviews over the years and 99.99% have at least one pic of the cigar burning. The ability to take a pic of the cigar and see the cigar burn adds another dimension to the review........imho.

@Old Smokey
I'm all for legitimate constructive criticism and ideas for improvement, so a picture of exactly what and/or when in the smoking process do you feel adds something?
