Crowned Heads 2019 Las Calaveras (LC46)
Sesame right off the bat, during the initial puffs.
The first 1/2 inch or so, was a little disappointing. Just under-whelming for a LE and >$10 stick. However, this slowly changed, and more came-to-life gradually.
Afterwards, the overall flavors were decent, but this stick grew on me the further I went-along. Seemed kinda rustic, old-school, and no-frills.
Solid medium body and flavor. Not really any pepper. Mostly a natural tobacco flavor, that's well balanced. Sesame was still there in the background. There was a cool-to-the-taste flavor/sensation near the 2/3.
I did read the review from Halfwheel during the smoke, and they summarized it nicely, and I got some of the flavors with help (thanks! and all credit to Halfwheel):
Slight pancake batter
Semi-buttery
Judgement:
No solid judgement yet. This is a stick I'd have to smoke through a couple of. I began to dismiss it in the 1/3 (based on it being an LE and price-tag), but it did grow on me. Glad I have another, and am looking forward to it. Will be back to it in a couple weeks, and will keep this review updated.
