Carlos Torano Exodus Gold 1959 (Robusto)
First review by me, and here we go:
Pre-Smoke Judgment:
Not expecting much outta this guy. One buck off Cigarbid, and 95% of the similarly priced, unknown branded (to me) cigars have disappointed, even though it was just a buck.
Initial Stuff:
Gave her a punch cut. Nothing special pre-lighting with the aroma. Lit and pulls nicely. Decent flavor.
1/3:
Not really my preferred flavor profile. CI says its 4/5 profile, I says it's a 2.5er outta 5. I do enjoy the Hobano/Habana wrapper signature flavor, although this may be my first Habana 2000 wrapper (never did research before now amd thought they were the same). Kinda creamy, which is nice. Flavor isn't bad, just not too good.
2/3:
Pretty much the same. It died a couple time while I tended to the children. Had a harsh flavor for 3-4 puffs after the second or third relight, but quickly disappeared. Starting to dislike the cigar more as I get closer to the final third.
3/3:
Honestly don't want to finish it, but it's late and I don't want to start another, so I soldier on. Just gonna finish my review a little early, because I'm not interested anymore.
Trial By Smoke Judgement:
Meh. It's not a bad smoke, nor is it a good smoke. Pass on it, unless you're a mild+ kinda smoker that prefers blandish flavor. Best part - the habana/habano taste and Cigarbid price. It's a check in "smoked, didn't enjoy" list, and I'm not interested in returning to it.
