Exclamation Brown Derby house blends triple review

About a year ago, I bought a Brown Derby robusto at the big Springfield location. A couple months ago, I subsequently bought the new offerings, 1937 Honduran and 1937 Nicaraguan blend. Off work today and yesterday for medical issues, so had a lot of time today. Here are the results. All 3 were paired with Cafe Bustelo K cups.

The wrapper and foot give hay aromas
Cold draw gives tobacco and straw
No real changes noted throughout, it stayed consistent, with soft wood, straw and nutty smells, and straw and toasty tastes. I think I smelled vanilla as well, something sweet.
Overall, a very pleasant mild to medium cigar.

    Brown Derby 1937 Honduran blend

The wrapper is a little toothy, and gives off a barnyard smell (not just straw). Cold draw gives tobacco and oaky tastes.
Smell and tastes were same throughout. Straw and soft wood aromas, oak, toast and straw tastes.
Overall, I liked the Brown Derby better. Odd, since I really like Hondurans. If I didn't know better, I'd suggest that these two share the blend, with different wrappers.

Wrapper is slightly toothy, and gives barnyard and spice aromas. Cold draw is spice and tobacco. This one gave me very subtle shifts. Aromas of spice, light leather and strong pepper, tastes of leather, spice and cedar. Near the end, I got a charcoal-ish taste and smell, a pleasant surprise. At times, the smoke was nostril-stingingly peppery.
Overall, my favorite of the three. It confirms for me that I have definitely developed a taste for the deeper stuff.
