    Bahia Gold White Label

Bahia Gold White Label Burn Time: 1hr 25min

    Wrapper : Ecuador Sungrown

    Filler : Nicaraguan ligeros, secos

    Body : Medium Strength : Li-Med

Prelight : Has a light brown, soft wrapper with a firm pack. Light cocoa aroma coming from it.

1/3 : Draw opens up on the tighter side, but there's a decent smoke output. First flavors are a very nice creamy and nutty smoke. Body is light medium only, but there's a finish that lasts 10-15seconds, so decent. Nuttiness fades after 15 or so min and a light cedar takes its place.

2/3 : Downside to this cigar was the construction/burn. It goes wonky on me every 20 minutes or so and requires a touchup, and if neglected needs a doublepuff. Cedar gets stronger and dominates this third flavor wise, nothing else coming in.

3/3 : Cedar goes away and there's only a smooth tobacco left. No noticeable strength at all. Body is still a medium, finish around the same. Keeps needing relighting again, and it tunnels on me twice. Other than that it ends nicely with a smooth tobacco and very slight pepper/spice.

Overall : An ok afternoon stick flavor wise, but really poor burn on this one. This is a $2 stick, but I've had a few other sticks around the same price point that burned well and had similar flavor profiles. So, just a middle of the road cigar in my opinion.

I see the cap is a bit sloppy, and it looks like there's a jagged edge to the seam down towards the bottom of the cigar, about 1.5" from the foot? I've never seen that before!

Good eye! I was going to put this in my review, but thought it wasn't needed; when I cut the cap it wasn't glued on right, and the cap was coming off. I wet it with my mouth to keep it on and had no problems really after a few minutes in.

I think the jagged edge you see is just a vein. But yeah, not the best construction on this one.

It *IS* a $2 cigar. But true, the Flor De Oliva series are the same price, and really solid cigars. In my limited experience they're the best in that price range.

I'll have to try those out.
