Fiery pepper cuts the nose smoothly, but not softly.

There's a very nice, and kinda complex taste going on throughout; and a SLOW retrohale really helped me ballpark it as a combo of: sweet and soft leather, and something related to toothpaste and/or minerals.

Shortly into the 1/3, there was something that made me think "toothpaste". It wasn't like brushing-your-teeth-and-you-have-a-mouthful-of-toothpaste "toothpaste", nor was it the lingering minty-ness of toothpaste. It was kinda subtle, but it would softly pop, and I liked it. It went well with the combo.

Great draw. You get a lot of body off small draws, and almost too much off a regular draw. I tried cutting back the amount of pull, and it started affecting the burn, and ended up almost going completely dead. Eventually I did have to relight - probably somewhere in the 2/3 - 1/2.

Very nice, oily and smooth wrapper.

Burn throughout was pretty good. Not razor sharp.

Somewhere around the 3/3 I had to toss, and not because I wanted to.

Judgement:

Pretty good, overall. Lot of flavor, and first for the "toothpaste" (I'm probably gonna get slammed here for it - but, hey, it's what I thought). I bought a fiver for about $2-3/stick, and I'm glad I have more (especially to see if the "toothpaste" is there next time). Definitely looking forward to the 601 Maduro and La Bomba I bought along with the Oscuro, and more offerings on the 601 brand. Recommended to the Bums.
