Royal Bum
2004 Arturo Fuente Don Carlos No.2
A 6x55 torpedo with a toothy, Cameroon wrapper, smooth cap, and firm bunch.
Slightly uneven burn,* short, conical coal, light *grey ash of typical structure,* and a perfect draw with high smoke volume and faint but fragrant aroma.
Of ample richness and perfect balance of earthy, woody and herbal flavors. First third was of generous body, generous flavor,* and strength was a medium-full, second third was full, and final third was powerful and with a strong flavor.
*
No sweetness, bitterness, sharpness or saltiness and a light burn on the tongue.
Overall,* character was pedigreed and overall just great.
Final score was 96 out of 100
Another compliments of Bruce

CFC 2000 or 2001 our welcome pack contained a 10+ year old Don Carlos #2. It was the first cigar I smoked pool-side while meeting dozens of fellow CF members in person for the first time. Great company, great environment, and that cigar just blew me away. While others chased Opus, I invested in Don Carlos. Ultimately the Belicosos, Double Robustos, Number 3s, and Number 2s became my favorites. Sounds like you have a new favorite as well. Glad you liked it.

Very nice.
Are you using 69% bovedas because it isn't airtight and you need the extra % to maintain 60 to 65%, or do you keep all your smokes, Including the walk-in at 69%
If so, have you had better results with 69% than with lower percentages?
I keep everything in airtight tupperdors and at 65% which was definitely an improvement over 62%

Right now we're in the twice a year few weeks when HVAC isn't running downstairs. When the AC or heat is running, the top is usually about 67% and bottom is 64%. She leaks, but she was my first and built to last a lifetime.

That range is still pretty good, especially compared to my 2 cheap wooden humidors that were retired for tupperdors instead.
I've considered selling them for cheap, but they took 72% Bovedas to maintain 62 to 65%, and frankly aren't worth the cost of shipping, and would hate to stick a fellow BOTL with badly sealing humidors.
Wood certainly looks much nicer than tupperdor, but I'm willing to sacrifice appearance for airtight containers that stay right at 65% and haven't had to change a Boveda in over a year.
