*Review comes three days late, and everything is a tad fuzzy.
Started off with an explosion of flavors, which were very similar to those in The T. (MB/AJF/RC collaboration).
I had a very similar experience with this Farce and The T. Very shortly after the initial puffs, those above flavors vanished - happened with two Ts and now the Farce. I'm not sure if it was me, or just my nose acclimating, but it quickly lead to me being disappointed and dumbfounded. I continued on for about a 1/2 inch - which wasn't bad, but it was kinda bland, and not $10 worth. To my surprise and relief, things very much associated with Room 101 started popping up, and quickly became very solid throughout.
Signature Room 101 flavors/spices. Very similar to the Uncle Lee, but not so much with the Serie HN.
It's a complex kinda taste, but you can discern ginger, maybe licorice, leather, and maybe layers of pepper throughout the retrohale.
Full bodied and flavored.
Burned solid and straight.
Of course I got to maybe half-way through it, and had to tend to other things! Damn, was I pissed, because it was a fantastic cigar. I came back to it, maybe an hour or so later, but it tasted OK but was kinda dirty tasting, so I just tossed it.
I will be back to this stick very soon, and will add another review within this thread.
Trial By Smoke Judgement:
Damn good cigar. I bought and smoked straight from a B&M (that I have come to question, as of this weekend, and will probably severely limit purchases from); so rest was probably due, and would've helped that first inch or so. I could very much see me buying a box of these. Recommended at the MSRP, but I've seen plenty of lonsdales on Cigarbid, for roughly 1/3 of the price going regularly, and will try to add some fivers on my next bidding run. Attachment 7692
