Piper Roll Call
New piper or old, introduce yourself here and let the rest of us know who you are.
I'm Rorick. I'm new overall to bot sides of the community. I was originally a stoogie smoker, but the cold winds of winter proved to harsh for me to endure. I learned that a pipe might be a good hold over from the friendly faces at Puff, and boy were they right. I'm still rather limited on my pallet. To date my favorite 'baccy is Price Albert soft vanilla in a classic cob.
Now let's hear about you!

Don, started pipes a long time ago. Not a regular smoker but do puff away couple times a week. I've stashed enough tobacco to last me a long time
at least.

Tim, I've got a very small cellar and still smoke far more cigars than pipes so I'm more a lurker on this side of the house. I smoke the pipe once a week or so, and at that rate even my little stash will last a couple years.

Jack, been piping almost a year and have a bowl or three a day. My cellar is by no means huge but is slowly growing.

I have a 100+ pound cellar (lifetime at my age and smoking rate) of mostly straight Va's and VaOr blends put away. Enough poundage of Burley for my morning coffee smoke, and maybe 15 pounds of Lat blends, which I rarely touch.
I collect Haymarket era Loewes, and I like to think I have one of the world's nicest small collections of that marque. I bought all but two of them unsmoked.
I also collect Dunhill. After those two, there are a small collection of Comoy's, Charatan, Orlik and Sasieni with them on the rack. There is a micro collection of Russian artists on the bottom row, and I am a big fan of Alexander Ponomarchuk and Andrey Grigoriev. The collection is two pipes away from being finished, so I won't be able to indulge my fondness of Russian pipes more than I have. I set a limit for myself with my collection, because pipe collecting without a focus, for someone like me, runs out of control. Nobody needs hundreds of pipes. I stopped at 60, eventually trimmed down to 40, and there were hundreds of pipes leading up to those 40 keepers. There is not a pipe on my rack that I would part with.

Waiting on Octember 1st
Tobias- I've been piping for about 15 years and consider it my primary tobacco hobby. I smoke from a rotation of ~45 pipes, about 8 of which are cobs with Forever stems. My cellar is around 130lbs now and represents most everything (but not many Lakelands). About a year ago I bought my first whole leaf and began topping, blending, and mainly flake making. I don't consider myself to be much of a pipe snob...I love Dr. Grabows, Velvet, and mainly use a Zippo pipe lighter. However I do have some more expensive pipes and I partake in the Esoterica craze now and again

Tony - I started piping in college in the mid 90's. After a few years I put it down for a while in favor of clip and light rolled up tobacco logs that you keep in a humidor. I started piping again probably 8 years ago now. My pipe collection isn't huge maybe 14 total pipes and probably in the 10 pound range of tobacco in my cellar. My pipes include Savinelli, Peterson, Orlik, Dunhill and a few cobs with forever stems. I do have one special cob called General Cobwarden which is a MM general with the longest possible curchwarden forever stem. I smoke a bit of everything and don't discriminate against tobacco types. I appreciate Aros as much as English. My regular rotation usually includes: FVF, 1Q, OGS, any of the FM's, EMP or 965, Stonehaven or Penzance and the Prince. I use two lighters: a black zippo pipe for outside and a Jifeng corona old boy knock-off everywhere else.

Jumpin’ Railcars and Collectin' Cans
Real name is Warren. Long time Puff member, (since 2009), though not very active the last couple years. I have more pipes and tobacco than I need, though still not as much as I want. There is no cure for PAD and TAD, once stricken, the condition is permanent.

Bummin' Around
I took the board change thing as an excuse to change my user name to my 'general online name' rather than my actual name. Love Italian pipes, HOTW and Hamborger Veermaster. And still listen to Iron Butterfly. Sorry; I'm not going to say who I was; I'm still in contest mode!
