Long time lurker of PUFF.. active over at PSF for a few years. Jim (whose reviews I value) replied to a where did PUFF go thread with this forum so here I am. I have been smoking cigars about 25 years and got into pipes when I retired about 5 years ago. Live outside Columbus OH and make the rounds of the b&m's about every other week.
Another Puff refugee. Not a lot of posts, but liked to read the reviews and trade occasionally.
Bryan here.
Started piping about 4 or 5 years ago, with an eBay pipe and a couple ounces from the jars at my local cigar shop. I piddled around with that until about September 2014, at which I started into cigars and also learned about "real" pipe tobacco. (Praise God!)
I now try to squirrel away a couple tins per month, family and finances allowing.
I love this hobby, and have met nothing but great people doing this!
P.S. Also a Puff refugee. I think I saw the same post by Jiminks that Roy saw.
Hello fellas. I just got in found the site on the Puff Facebook page. I'm smoking a bowl of Stonehaven from 12 in celebration.
Casey here, been pipe smoking for just over a year now. I started with a cob and now have 3 pipes and slowly working on my cellar. I'm also a Puff refugee used to go by Docbone

Have I been here before? Tonight my wife said "you have an email from Tiberius Lutz." I joined Puff about a year ago to learn about cigars. Then I bought a few pipes and dug out a few old pipes. Got in some splits, mostly with Tobias, tried the Ennerdale Flake, and The Blind Taste Challenge. I might smoke 2 or 3 sticks a week but started carrying a pipe in the work van everyday. Went from a pack a day to about two packs a week. Never did like my old tag "gtechva" so I switched it up. My name is George, old friends and family call me G.W. so as not to confuse me with my dad (my avatar).
And I ramble sometimes.
Chaz here, new to the Bum. Been smoking cigars over 20yrs. Picked up a cob about a year ago. Whenever I have a short time to smoke then out comes the pipe. Seems like this winter I've really enjoyed smoking the pipe more.
Have several MM cobbs and been trying a variety of tobacco. Some blends that seem to hit the spot include, McClelland Red Cake, Peter St. Lux. Bulleyes flake, Peterson Special Reserve 2014. Have not started a cellar yet, just smoke through what I have then try something new. Looking to learn a few things from the old timers.

C.P. McDill here, known on the late Puff forum by the same handle. I am so glad to see so many familiar names over here, as I was worried that the community was "lost in time, like tears… in... rain" -- the prospects are looking good to get the old dynamic up and running quickly.
Thrilled to see so many friends and pipe heroes reporting in. It is pity that certain useful threads were lost on pipe restoration/maintenance, but maybe it's a blessing in disguise, as those of us who embrace this hobby will have gained in experience and wisdom, and we can update our insights and advice. Sometimes the "weight of the past" may make us less likely to post something new, because we feel it's already been written, and newbies can just use the search function. It's a fresh opportunity to re-examine our knowledge.

For a while I was smoking more, to make up for the lack of my virtual puffing, then I actually started to get more work done around the house, my iPad stayed charged longer, I went to bed earlier, etc. Now back to ruination...

I'm Pete Siegel, a bit late to the party here at CigarBum but glad to be back. I've been on pipe forums going back to Alt/Smoking/pipes in the late 1980s and many other forums but none has a better membership that we have here. I'm sure it's mutual but I enjoy you folks and your passion and respect for smoking and each other (steps off the soap box).
I started working in a smoke shop 50 years ago and smoked my first pipe within a year (I was 11 :) ). Long history with pipes and cigars. I've always preferred pipes but cigars were easier on the move. I left the pipe business in the early 1990s and and became a database programming consultant and I retired in 2011. I've lived in Huntington, NY (Long Island) since 1989. I have recently admitted that I have both PAD and TAD. I am fortunate that my wife is an enabler. You guys understand.
