Lonely Wandering Bum
Hello from Tennessee!
I'm from Tennessee and have been a pipe smoker off and on since I was 14 years old. My dad was a pipe smoker and I followed in his footsteps. He used to smoke Sir Walter Raleigh in a Kaywoodie or Dr. Grabow and was content with that. People would sometimes give him new blends to try but he always stuck with Sir Walter Raleigh. I grew up in Georgia but started to visit middle Tennessee to explore caves and fell in love with the state and ended up moving here many years ago. The mountains, rivers and caves here appealed to me because I'm an outdoorsman. Anyhow, I am glad to be here at Cigarbum because I like cigars in addition to pipes. My tastes in pipe tobacco in recent years leans toward burley blends, sometimes with some Kentucky dark-fired and/or a touch of cigar leaf thrown in. I like some of the John Patton blends (from 4 Noggins): Storm Front, Dark Horse, and Dark & Stormy. Also like Carter Hall, Five Brothers, and Haunted Bookshop. Also like many of the Gawith Hoggarth blends, like Louisiana Perique Flake and others. Looking forward to learning of some new blends and pipes from all of you.

Thanks for the welcome,
@AlanS
! Kind of similar to you, but the opposite - I have lots of cigars in humidors but most of the time I prefer to smoke a pipe.

John, welcome to the Bum from Missouri. I’m glad you are here! I lived in a cave (Zoo Cave) in Taney Co. MO which is in Mark Twain National Forest while turkey hunting when I was early 20’s.
Enjoy and care for your parents, once they are gone you become an orphan!

Welcome, John!
Sounds like you have a well rounded taste of tobaccos!
My pipe smoking is few and far between these days, but once in a while I’ll get into a stint and pull out the pipes.
Glad to have you here!
