Bummin' Around
New member from Texas
Hi guys,
I'm new to the cigar forum and wanted to say hi. My name is GrouchoM and I'm from Texas. I've been smoking cigars for 3 mths and have a small tupidor of sticks. As a new cigar smoker, I'm still figuring out what I like palate-wise. I started with Factory throwouts #49, #59 & #99 because they were inexpensive and easy smokes, but I have since worked up recently to maduros, C&C toro maduros to be exact (which have a lot of flavor). I'm an unemployed student who was introduce to cigars by a buddy, but only got serious recently after having one on New Year Eve. The brands I've smoked so far are nothing to write home about: Brioso, Bacarract, Sancho Panza, National, Cuban Seed, Casa de Bella and Punch.
Look forward to learning more about cigars and meeting more cigar lovers.

I'm new here as well, welcome!
About ten years ago, I started with some cigars from Thompson that I never heard of.
It almost ruined cigars for me, but I had to start somewhere!
See you around!

Welcome, welcome - we take in all Bums, even young unemployed students !
And we all started on sticks like the ones you mentioned, but you can only smoke what you can afford to, right ?
Nice to meet you

Welcome Groucho! That's how I got started too. I'm not sure if you know about some of the deal sites like CigarBid and Cigar Monster. If not, you might want to check them out. Some of my favorite maduros that you can usually get $3-$6 a stick: Illusione Rothchildes (if you haven't had them, you should find them!), Sancho Panza Double Maduro, 601 Blue, Diesel Unholy Cocktail, Anything Fuente, Padron 2000 maduro.
Feel free to ask any questions you have, there's an awesome group of guys here who are always willing to help.
