Right now I'm using 69% Boveda packs. That seemed like the easiest way to get started.
Uh, I'm just gonna go find a cash machine.

Those packs both give off and absorb humidity as needed to reach the rh% listed on them. You can recharge ones that have started getting a little stiff and dry by placing them in an airtight container with another humidity source, such as a small shotglass of distilled water for a few weeks.
Some people keep a set in containers like that, swap them out with ones that have gotten too dry, and repeat as needed to keep everything humidified nicely. If you are using tupperware type storage you might not run into that issue for a while. I have had the same packs in mine for 6 months to a year and none of them have needed to be recharged yet.
Welcome from another Michigan native...though gone since '82!
Thanks for the info. I bought a four pack from Amazon and am currently using two in my humidor. I vacuum sealed the other two, so maybe I can start a rotation as the two I'm using start to dry out. I can recharge them while using the other two.
