I'm new here but not new to cigars.
Let me start off by saying I am new here, but not a newbie to smoking cigars. I have been smoking cigars since 1995 and always smoked a pipe on the side. This last couple of years the pipe has become a mainstream for me with the cigars on the side. Today I just signed up and wrote some in my bio. Trying to figure out how to search for group to join. I already read that I need 10 posts to be able to finish my profile and I have plenty of things to write about; like curing tobacco and growing tips for those interested. I am currently growing Cuban Criollo 98 seed tobacco, Burley 21, Bright Virginia. V.G and last but not least Florida Sumatra tobacco (shade grown)which by the way makes some of the best cigar wrapper I ever had or rolled. Anyone interested in growing and curing their own tobacco to make their own smokes please feel free to contact me. I can walk you through from germinating the seed, curing the leaf and also rolling & blending your own cigars. To me nothing is more satisfying than smoking a cigar that you made yourself from your own tobacco that you grew yourself. Especially when your creation compares to cigars you have smoked that cost over 200.00 a box.
So my post on this site will probably be more about growing your own tobacco as well as figuring out what types to grow to end up with your type of preferred cigar. Looking forward to some great conversations with some great people. Pipe and cigar smokers are some of the most interesting people!
