Detroit Metro Area
Hello to everyone!
I'm new here and I have a problem. I spend too much money on cigars, I fritter too much time away enjoying them, and now of all things, I'm starting to roll my own sticks! My wife said I have enough cigars, naturally, she and I aren't seeing eye to eye on that matter.
CCs are really nice smokes and I have a collection of them, but still enjoy an NC pepper bomb on a regular basis.
One of my passions used to be SCUBA diving, however, as I've gotten older (60 at the moment) I'm loosing interest in that. I've spent plenty of time underwater since starting diving some 17 years ago. Long story short, went from beginner, to technical, to divemaster and now... well I'm not sure what the next big thing will be. It's time to sell my double tanks and all that stuff.
Also, a former police officer. 16 years of it was enough.
I've been enjoying fine cigars for the last 6 years, and am learning more every day about how they are made, the different tobacco leaves and the flavor profiles the give to a cigar.
My favorite place to smoke is on the small patio we have. In the winter I smoke in the garage with a propane heater keeping me warm.
So, from the greater Detroit Metro Area, I say hello to everyone.
Randy

Welcome, Randy, I see you're already on the proverbial "slippery slope."
Where in the Detroit area are you from? I'm from Royal Oak myself, still have some family there. We get up there a couple times a year, RO, and we have a family place up on Lake Superior that's nice in the summer.
Re cigar construction, there are a few of us who roll our own here, including yours truly. Check out the Torcederos threads if you're interested.
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.

Thank you. That is a good thread.
I'm in Farmington Hills not far from Royal Oak. Let me know when you are in the area.

Welcome from western NY
"I spend too much money on cigars"
What language is this bud ? As someone said on another thread here - we speak English in this group and I'm not familiar with these words.
"My wife said I have enough cigars"
Now this is more like it - this is definitely a phrase I have heard before
No cigar until you get a par - birdie if it's a scramble !
