Looking on Amazon, SPAM averages $0.22/oz. That's $3.52/lb, probably 15% of which is that nasty gel. Granted, you can't get porterhouse for $3.50/lb but fresh chicken is half that. I expected to pay something like 79 cents for a brick of compressed pork sweepings suspended in goo.

I wonder if elcigarshop sells spam-infused cigars? Might be a big seller in Hawaii, land of the spam-flavored macadamia nuts ...
