Wineador for all baccy?
Thinking of making a wineador for the few sticks I have, but I really want to put my pipe tobacco in the cause I have a lot in baggies and don't want to take up thirty mason jars and the space. Is this a bad idea? Any other suggestions for storing all these baggies?

I've been useing a mini fridge to store all the pouches of pipe tobacco I have and it's a pain. They keep falling out,
or getting mixed around.I'll be switching over to small jars this spring and give the fridge to Momma for snacks and drinks.

IMHO you are better off with stacking up cases of jars. Your pipe tobacco won't dry out in them and your cigars won't smell like pipe tobacco.

There are different thoughts on re-hydrating pipe tobacco. Some will say you can spritz the tobacco, <---I don't like that one, others will say tupperware or similar and a sponge, another method (my personal preference) is to place tobacco in a bowl and drape a damp cloth other the top...all using distilled water.

I go with Wayne's preference on re-hydrating , course I'm on well water here.no chemicals or treatments just bug poop
(and we all know that makes the smoke richer) so I don't worry about distilling anything other than corn koolaid.

If it's so dry that it is breaking when you move it, then spritzing may be your only choice. Usually I use a humidifier stone or a disc device (available at pipe shops) to moisten the tobacco. I check it frequently and soak the humidifier if needed. Some times I put the dry tobacco in a bag (leaving it open) inside another bag that has a moistened paper towel in it. Seal the outer bag and let the moisture from the paper towel flow to the tobacco. The tobacco does not actually touch the paper towel.

Just finished rehydrating some baccy. Here's a pic of how I do it. Just cut a piece of paper towel, put it in the lid, and drip the desired amount of DW on it and screw on the lid....
