What's the opinions on Rossi pipes?

I'm jonesing for a new pipe and don't have a lot of extra $ at the moment.

Smokingpipes has Rossi Vittorias on sale for $38 and some change right now. They look great. If I'm not mistaken they're a Savinelli off brand aren't they?

Anyway, who has one? And do you like it?

I've wondered about these as well, definitely nice looking for the cost

Depending on the year dictates whether the pipe is a stand alone Rossi or a Savinelli.

I have a couple, but they're all older ones, so I can't really comment on whether the new ones are good smokers or not.

For what it is worth, the ones I have smoke decent.

I was looking at some of those Vittorias last October at the local pipe shop's annual sale, but I didn't buy one. That's a good price that they have, $38. What shape are you looking at buying?

    I'm thinking about the Prince.
I like the idea of the wide but shallow bowl. I don't have a shape similar to that.

    Here's what it looks like.

I prefer the taste of smoke from tobacco that hasn't filtered too much smoke. So I, too, like pipes with wide, shallow bowls – most of the pipes that I smoke regularly are like that.

I had a 2006 3/4 bent cherry rusticated that was good enough it got stolen before I had it broke in.
The few times I got to smoke it were pretty good, albeit I was smoking Borkum Riff bourbon and burning
my tongue regularly. The pipe stayed lit quite easily.....

I'm thinking along those lines as well.
I'm especially wanting to try it with a certain tobacco.

I love Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture for the first half of the bowl. After I get past the halfway point, the flavor turns ashy to me. Maybe I'm just puffing too hard I'm not 100% certain, but I'm thinking a shallow bowl may be the ticket for me with that blend.

    I just ordered it.
I'll do a short review on it after a few bowls and let y'all know how it smokes.

Got it in today. Smoked a bowl of Elizabethan in it.
Haven't had it long enough to give a real opinion on it just yet, but I'm impressed so far.

If you enjoy Youtube videos, here's my video of it with a little first impression/first smoke.
