    Triple Reviews

Any of the guys who participated in the triple reviews, if you saved your reviews can you please repost. If you didn't post your reviews yet...please do. IF all information is lost, I would be happy to send out samples again to start over. (at least the ones I can resend)

I, unfortunately, did not save my reviews but I still have some left from the samples and have no problem smoking a few bowls and doing it again.

So I finally got around to burning a couple bowls of the "No Clue" blend that Wayne sent me.

The ingredients were listed on the bag: 11% Yellow Virginia, 11% St. James Perique, 22.25% Oriental, 22.25% Latakia, and 33.5% Red Virginia.

The scent in the bag, and the ribbon cut, are reminiscent of something from Dunhill. The Latakia isn't overwhelmingly spicy, but its smokiness is the predominant odor in the tin-note. There is a bit of haycoming from the Virginias, but it takes a backseat. I burned this in a couple different billiards and it stayed lit easily, leaving a clean, soft ash. Sticking with my Dunhill comparison, I'll say that it reminded me a lot of EMP (with some Perique). It was nicely balanced, not overly spicey (no ticking of the nostrils in the retrohale), and not bitey at all. The orientals and lemon Virginia were nice and sweet. If you took a tin of EMP and mixed it thoroughly with a tin of Elizabethan mixture, I think it would taste remarkably close to this blend.

A good smoke- so I have to ask, did you blend this yourself or dictate the recipe to someone who blended it up for you?

I think I saved mine in my Google Drive. I'll take a look a bit later.

I'm pretty sure I still have some of all left. If I don't go brain dead, I'll try to re-smoke and re-post.
