Tobacco Inventory
Haebar asked and shall receive.
I am amazed by how much tobacco gets given away in the new piper give away. So I was curious how much most of the Experienced Pipe Smokers had on hand, and how much comes in on a monthly basis. Kind of curious about that for everyone.
What do you say?
Started smoking Pipes in February of this year.
I would guess I have about 2 pounds of pipe tobacco (Thanks mostly to the new Piper giveaway).
I buy about 4 ounces a month or so.
Started smoking cigars almost 7 years ago.
I have 130 cigars - about 5 come in every month. Smoke about 1 a week

Waiting on Octember 1st
I've got well over 100 lbs... probably somewhere around 110. I quit tracking last year because keeping up with it stopped being enjoyable.

Consummate Pipe Bum
The thought of trying to inventory my tobacco overwhelms me, so a vague estimate is I have enough to last several years or longer of daily smoking.

I've only got a couple pounds myself, if that.
I have a dozen 1/2 pint canning jars of baccy and a couple of tins. There are some samples that I left in the ziplocs and put the baggies in a jar to keep them fresh.
I plan to start ordering more than I smoke and putting some VAs and some Vapers back to cellar.
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.

I'm kinda ashamed to admit my "cellar" would probably fit in my glove box. I neglected my pipes for years and am just now really getting back to them.Have to admit my pipes have jumped from a meer and one briar to three meers, ten briars, and one cob.(For now)My last tobacco allowance went to stocking my humi with my favorite "yard gars",so I'll have to find some extra work to fill out my cellar some.

I follow CP's method. Maybe 5 years worth. Not really sure, maybe 15-20 lbs. Somewhere around 300-400 cigars. I am anti-organization.

Sounds like you are a big fan. I saw that on Pipes and Cigars the other day and thought about getting some but didn't take the plunge, went with my old stand by instead, Lane Black and Burly. Certainly am curious about the Anglers Dream though.

For years I had a reputation as the world's greatest Carter Hall fan. Then I was gifted some Hearth And Home Classic Burley Kake. I liked that a lot so I switched. And then I was gifted a half tub of AD. It beat out CBK by a nose. I smoke it all day, everyday. I have never been one to experiment a lot. In fact if I had not been gifted these, I would still be smoking Carter Hall. I choose not to let the search for the perfect interfere with my enjoyment of the good.
