Tobacco alternatives or additions
A while back I asked about the history of church warden pipes, I found one site that mentioned "doctors"
advising women to smoke certain medicinal herbs.I was wondering if any one here knows of this and what
herbs ? Have you tried this, and did it do any good? This is not to discuss that well known herb (MJ), but
rather the more forgotten healing herbs.

Lakeland Bum
Relative to additions, I recently finished up an ounce of Cornell & Diehl Crooner that had the addition of Deer Tongue. It imparted a taste to the tobacco that was interesting and unique., but for me it obscured the tobacco enjoyment.
Deer tongue is taken for malaria by some. It contains coumarins which thin the blood.

Bummin' Around
Back when I lived in the Bay Area I bought a pack of American Indian Cigarettes from a table stand in Berkeley. They were a blend of different herbs (sage, thyme, a bunch of others) I have tried looking for them again, but have never been able to find them. I remember enjoying smoking them and they seemed to clear the lungs a bit.

I'm going to dry out some fresh spearmint and mix it with PA or CH, something mellow.
