That is an interesting pipe!
Hope it smokes well.
That is a unique pipe!
Does anyone know what makes it a "Tilt" pipe?
On a side note, what type of uniform is that in the background? Were you in the military?
Hi Rick,
Thanks for re-posting your pics. I assume that it's me (Chromebook) when I can't see pictures because that's often the case.
Nice job of restoring the pipe.
I've seen the shape before and my first impression is that it was a rare shape from Cadogan IGBD, Comoy) but I can't be definitive. Cadogan made several shapes with wide oval shanks.
Enjoy it.
Regards,
Pete

Thanks Mark. I think the make is Tilt. On the top of the shank is a star shape logo with the wording "Tilt" inside. At the bottom of the shank is written "made in France" with "543" which I assume is the model nr.
The uniform in the background was my Dad's uniform. He was a Captain in the South African Police Force. I followed in his footsteps and am today also a Captain in the SAPS as is my sister and brother-in law. Our uniforms differ a bit from the one you can see here as our flag and police logo changed after 1994.
