    Red face TalkingTobacco.com blog

    Anybody check out P&C's blog, talkingtobacco.com? I've found it to be very informative and a fun read, especially Russ Ouellette's articles. The guy is like a walking pipe encyclopedia.
    It's not a real hobby unless it interferes with your work.

    Thank you!

    I don't know anyone (flesh and blood) who smokes a pipe. I've had to learn everything from the street corner (puff, bums). My parents are beside themselves with worry.

    I've been following the one on Smokingpipes, but I wasn't aware of this one. I'll add this one to my bookmarks. Thanks for posting!

    G.L. Pease has a blog too. I read it once in a while when I have a dull moment.

    My whole time growing up I knew exactly one (tobacco) pipe smoker, the father of a friend of mine. Now I know several. Is pipe smoking on the rise, or am I just noticing it more?

    Thanks for the links
    @Bruck I haven't' noticed any increase where I am
    @Griz Wouldn't your parents be beside each other with worry? (had to, couldn't help it)

    Probably just noticing it more. I knew someone had to be smoking the stuff if I saw multiple stores selling Prince Albert, Borkum Riff, Captain Black, etc., but for some reason I never noticed anyone actually smoking a pipe until I picked it up again myself.

    Thanks for mentioning TalkingTobacco. We try to bring a variety of articles to keep things interesting.
    As to an increase in pipe smokers, we've noticed an increase among the hobbyist pipe smokers (people who read forums, attend pipe shows, have a rotation of tobaccos and pipes), but a modest decrease among the day-in, day-out smokers who stay with the same blend and don't even know that there's actually a "pipe culture".
