Thank you for the suggestions! I have a couple of these ordered. Several seem to be pretty much unavailable right now though. I will give a few a try, and if I like them, I may pursue additional options.

Picked up a couple to try. There were others I was interested in as well, but had difficulty finding available. Even the Ennerdale was sparse to be found.

Looks good. Well, 2 out of 3 aint bad anyway
IMO it's the G&H 'Lakeland' that is the most offensive. SG seems to have a different take on it that I find much more tolerable.
I don't find any 'scent' at all in FVF and the toppings in Grousemoor remind me of black tea with lemongrass. It's good with a cup of Earl Grey. Let us know what you think!

Great choices! If you enjoy Ennerdale you'll enjoy every Lakeland tobacco thrown your way, and as Zurg said above, Grousemoor is definitely lemongrass-esque and different enough from the Lady E that it's its own beast.

As you found, it can be tough to get ahold of GH&Co. tobaccos at times and moreso if you start buying in bulk. You'll wait months for some of their ropes to appear in stock, and sometimes almost as long for their regular tobaccos. Thankfully if you enjoy one it's not a stretch to say that you'll enjoy another, so you usually don't have to go without completely.

I have had two bowls of the Grousemoor so far. I like it! It is certainly a bit different. Not something I would want to smoke regularly, but a nice occasional change of pace.

The first bowl was right out of the freshly opened tin and I think it was a bit wet. The second I laid out for about five hours and it became too dry; lost a bit of flavor and burned too fast.
I will give it some more go's in the future. I think it could grow on me! It seems like it is a bit of an acquired taste.

I will give the Ennerdale a try soon.

I have been smoking the Grousemoor regularly. I can say it has been growing on me with each bowl.

Today, I opened up my tin of Ennerdale. From the descriptions, I was expecting a stronger floral aroma from it. In fact, to me, the Grousemoor has a stronger perfumy aroma. I pulled off a few flakes and set aside to dry for a few hours. The thing I noticed when I went to pack my pipe, were all of the crystals sparkling. Maybe it was the bright sun, but they were distributed throughout the tobacco.

Using the fold and stuff method, I packed a bowl. The draw was fairly loose, but I have found with some of these pressed flake tobaccos, they expand upon heating.

I found that this appreciates the caress of gentle sips. I did not find it offensive, but rather delightful!
It's just one bowl, but I am a fan.

Assimilation accomplished! I agree with your comparison of the Ennerdale and Grouse moor. Both are good in their own way.
