Suggestion on a cheapy but Good Pipe Lighter.
I'll be going into the field treasure hunting a bit this year and I do not want to bring my Corona Old Boy Lighters with me. I have only used them for the last 10/12 years or so. As a result I have no idea what cheapy but decent pipe lighter are available.
An suggestion will be appreciated. As far as pipes, I will only have a Corn Cobb or two with me.
Of all the things I have lost in my lifetime, I miss my MIND the most!

Bic - cheap and reliable. And if not reliable, cheap.

The Vector Rapidash Pipe Lighter is our top seller for pipe lighters and it is $21.99

I've never had a problem using a bic, in a pinch. I'm sure it would be fine for fields use with a cob!

^^^This! Mine saw me faithfully through my tour in Afghanistan. It's a little beat up now (battle scars) but still fires up every time.

Great question John...
Now, when you say "treasure hunting", are you referring to metal detecting? Just curious as that's something I enjoy from time to time...just not often enough!
Anyway, I too ponder what would be best used for times where loosing one may be inevitable. With camping to hunting, again times that I'd loose such!

I like pipe lighters that allows flame to be directed into the bowl. I like the lighter that Kayla posted. I have a cheap $8 from ebay that works great. I wish the lighter held more fuel though.

Yes, I'll spend a lot of time Metal Detecting. I have a new 12" circular coil for my Tesoro Outlaw. It goes deep and it picks up small stuff really well, but you need to go slow. We will mainly be hunting Gold Nuggets. We will also be doing some Dry Washing.
