Stubby / Nose warmer pipe?
Tell me about the short or stubby pipes. Also known as "nose warmers"?
I came across a pipe I liked and then after seeing the dimensions saw that it was a short stub. (a little over 4")
The bowl is a generous 1-1/4" deep and 3/4" in diameter. I have one shorter pipe, but the bowl is also small in proportion.
What are the characteristics of these shorter pipes?Advantages?
Is it for looks?
Less hanging weight?
Do they tend to smoke hotter?

Easier to pocket?
Easier to snork the bowl smoke into your nose?
Your nose is warmer?
It's cute?

i love nose warmers.
But nose warmer doesn't mean smaller bowl all the time. I have had 2 that had huge bowls.

That is what the one I'm looking at is. Normal to generous sized bowl. Short stem.
What do you like about them?

despite me having huge hands I always preferred/prefer a smaller pipe in hand but thats probably due to me not wanting or having the time to enjoy a 45-90 pipe smoke.
Plus thats how i like me the ladies. Short and stubby.
Moretti makes some sweet nose warmers with huge bowls. I sadly sold the one i had cause the bowl was just to big but damn was it pretty.

I have a couple of them. One is called "Short Snorter" and the other looks like a Custombilt. The first I use for Aro's, and the other for everything else. They're great for doing stuff in the yard, as they are easy to clench.....

I had a Short Snorter until it seized , it had a twist in tenon, and I broke it trying to get it apart to clean.Pugsley came to my rescue with a small Wiley.I really like the shorter stem with a normal bowl, great for a pocket pipe and when working it's never in the way.

I think youl'll like it, they are really great for a day out.Fit easily into the glovebox or a pocket and always on hand for a quick smoke.
