What Branzig said but add a tin a Dan Sweet Vanilla Honeydew in the event you get a hankering for a good aromatic. That way you won't be tempted to buy some PG soaked, drugstore aro that will sully your idea of pipe smoking for decades to come. Drew Estate 7th ave Blonde is good too and probably easier to find.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Thank you sir. Thanks to the great folks at Poooof, and now Bum, I have learned a great deal about cigars, and moreover.....appreciation of The Leaf. I made a lot of Noob mistakes early in my cigar hobby, but my preferences, buying habits, sources, etc., have changed dramatically since. If anything....I'll buy far less, and much better quality tobacco, until I determine how much I like the pipe. Right now, I think it is the answer to my problem with traveling, and time for a cigar. If I have to put out a $10 cigar....it's a pissa, but a lost bowl is MUCH less....right? I'm goin Cob shoppin tonight.....thanks!

This is where I started. Got everything plus about 10 other samplers, minus the Bic, from the Noob sampler trade on another forum. Start with the CH to break in your pipe while you're figuring how to pack and light, and go from there. I bought a 4 oz bags of a couple of B&M blends, and I'm going to smoke those before breaking into the good samples. Just take it slow, and you'll get it figured out.
