I'm looking for low to no bite, flavorful, good room note. Doesn't have to be an aromatic (not crazy about the additives).

I have found that Vapers like Dunhill Navy Rolls and Escudo have a pleasant (to me) room note.
Kind of a bready yeasty aroma.
However, they can nip at your tongue if you chief on it too hard.
Have you tried the drugstore blends like Carter Hall and Prince Albert?
They smell rather pleasant and I don't think they would bite if you tried to get them to.
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.

Good room note is the problem. I choose tobaccos based on flavor and lack of bite. Usually the ones with a nice room note have no flavor so I tend to avoid them. Only one I could think of to recommend would be Sam Gawith Chocolate Flake. I believe that one has a fairly decent room note. You could also try G&H Bob's Chocolate Flake but IMO that one tastes like soap unless you age it, semi sealed for months in end.
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

I have smoked some Pete Stokkebye flake (I forget which one) and some Captain Black (gold packaging) but that's about it. And it's been a little while since I messed with the pipe. Just looking to indulge again.
Someone mentioned G&H Sweet Rum Twist and that it was cigaresque (for lack of a better expression). I have 2oz coming.

Looking at it, those would be my main concerns as well. Room note would just be a plus.

SRT is nice and cigary and has plenty of vitamin N. I had to get used to the N dose slowly, made me sick at first. It's also got a nice rum flavor and a sweetness to it but that is not really very noticable unless you smoke it alongside Happy Bogie or something similar. G&H Black Cherry Twist is the same way. Anyway, cut a few coins, cube cut those up and then dry the SRT well. IMO, rubbed out its harsh. It's also harsh if you don't dry it well. It doesn't like to burn either but I enjoy the blend enough to endure the many relights. Doesn't help the burn that you need to puff it really slow too. Puff it fast and guess what... it's harsh It's a learning curve with these twists but worth it if you ask me.
Not a good room note on any of these twists that I know of. They all reek like cigars.

Well, cigary I can live with. I guess I'll have to do as you suggest and play with that learning curve. Haven't done any twist before, so now the research begins because all I know is flake, coins & ribbons. As I'm sure you know the 1st 2 get rubbed.
Am about to pull the trigger on the SG Chocolate Flake that you mentioned & some Dunhill Aperitif which sounds appetizing on TR.

The first two don't always get rubbed. I rub out the milder flavored ones like Virginia flakes (similar to FVF & Bullseye flake) but the stronger blends (think G&H dark flake and ropes & twists) I try to keep intact as much as possible - that usually means fold n stuff or cube cut for those. SG chocolate flake I like 'crunched out' where I just smash the flake up some with my fingers but leave lots of chunks and some finer ribbons. I like G&H Louisiana flake 'crunched out' as well.
