2015 Rattray's Marlin Flake in a 1980s Il Ceppo 4 smooth, oval shank, taper billiard. Man, I love those long flakes!
Marlin Flake and I go back a long, long way (1970s) but this is the first time that I'm smoking the Kohlhase (Germany) made blend. I bought the tin so that I can keep a kilo that I bought under wraps.

Part way through this bowl of Synjeco Greenodd Rope in a 2003 straight grain Karl Erik Ekstravagant A medium bend freehand sitter. This will finish the stash.

Having some SG Navy Flake in a MM cob while writing a 1,000 word essay on incarceration trends in the U.S.
Pretty boring topic but at least I'm smoking some good baccy.
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.

I was closer to finishing that last bowl than I thought. Now smoking G&H Brown Irish Sweet Chocolate Rose in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer.

INCARCERATION should count as 2-1/2 words!
Tobacco exists for times like this. Relaxed inspiration. You'll ace the essay.
My new neighbor brought over some very spicy barbecue, so I took a 15 minute break from my reunion with Marlin Flake. Straight out of the tin this has been an exquisite and incredibly long lasting bowl (moderate sized pipe) that I've been working for over 2-1/2 hours (less the lunch break). Kudos to Kohlhase because this Marlin Flake is a worthy successor to the original (very similar) but I wish that I'd tried it earlier and I'd have bought 20 tins during the P&C 20% off sale.
No question, Marlin Flake will become a staple of mine again. If you like Virginia flakes (VaPer) and haven't smoked it I'd recommend it. You'll love the long flakes (I think) that are heaven to fold and stuff.
