I haven't decided what to call it yet. Any ideas?

Did you make that? If so that's a cool looking "Bruck Ball" you're smoking.

Very good. How about "wrecking ball?"
yes, I made it myself from scratch, except the stem which is a MM replacement stem. The bowl is a 3" sphere of birch and the shank is a birch dowel thru which I drilled a hole. The bowl ID is 3/4" and is about 2" deep - enough for an all-afternoon smoke
I initially wanted to make a pipe out of a pool ball, like the 8 ball, but discovered to my dismay that they don't make pool balls out of wood anymore. So I got some birch balls instead. This one's just a proof of concept - I may try to make some more customized ones in the future.
How does it smoke? Pretty well IIDSSM. I had to pre-char the inner bowl with a blowtorch to get rid of the nasty woody taste, but since then it's been fine.

Getting ready to smoke some GL Pease Navigator in a smooth Brewster billiard. This tobacco was graciously sent to me by
