Second bowl from a fresh tin of Mac Baren HH Acadian Perique, this time in a cob. Definitely has a rough edge to it, but nothing a few months of rest in a jar won't smooth out. Looking forward to trying it again in about 6 months.

Smoked a bowl of thin sliced, rubbed and thoroughly dried jackknife plug in a Barling NeverBent. It tasted way different than it does in a cob. Sweet looking burl, for sure.

Having some homemade flake in a Dr. G Grand Duke. This batch is VA, perique, burley, cavendish, with some peach topping.

And now I've found something else to lust after. Thanks Jim.

Relaxing after dinner with D&R Ryback in a 1970s smooth medium bend Stanwell Rego 969-48 Design Choice 837 sitter with a vulcanite stem and ferrule. Probably should have used a pipe with a bigger bowl. Love the dark fired in it!

I'd put it in my top five all time smokes. And if it wasn't so hard and expensive to get from Germany, I'd have 30 pounds or more in this house.
