Full agreement. I picked up an ounce of this a few weeks ago just to try it out. Probably get a bit more next time

First bowl - but I see you jumped in with both feet and got a whole jar full I picked up an ounce to test it out first. It's good stuff, but I probably won't get any more though, as it tastes just about exactly like the stuff I make (and I don't charge myself for shipping).

Hi Jim,
Have you written a review of either (I think that there are only two) of the Villiger tin mixtures? If not, please let us know what you think of this one.
Pete
The Tilshead swallowed a lot of the CR Flake but it lasted well over 2 hours. of a beautiful smoke. For anyone that would like a great briar, well crafted (but an ordinary stems), look at a Tilshead. They get some respect on eBay but they still sell for a fraction of the price of a James Upshall and they're the same pipe except for small flaws. For many years Upshall made only smooths and those bowls with superficial flaws became Tilsheads (name of the town where the workshop was located). They run large but smaller ones are around too. A true handmade second that were and still remain superb value. If anyone is interested I'll happily elaborate or answer questions about them.
2015 Gawith Hoggarth Scotch Flake Scented in a 1990 Ser Jacopo Gemma Fiammata taper billiard with a gold band.
It's called 'scented' but it's very light and that's good for me.

I will write a review when i finish the sample, which is three bowls worth. I have a couple of the others in tins, but it'll be a while before I open one of them. I've reviewed Cocktail Hour, and Mid-Day 1888.
