Morning Jim,
This was your unwind bowl after work? Do you have any predictions about the upcoming baseball season?
2015 Gawith & Hoggarth Glengarry Flake in a 1982 Ser Jacopo Gemma Granato canadian.
Beautiful morning with a radiant sun that's cutting through the chill. Note to self, stay South of New York in March in coming years. Birds have it right.

We might start seeing some birds in a few days. Been a few grackles and starlings about. A hardy flock that! No grassy areas yet at all and the ground is still frozen solid, so until that happens, possibly by next week, no robins or similar. Robins follow the melt line and can "get out of town" south when they've gone too far north and it turns cold. (At least that's what I read somewhere...)
Got me yet another cob of RY going this morning, my second actually -- in the same pipe, a Legend Forever. BEAUTIFUL out there! I think it's above freezing!!

Good Morning Jim,
We get a lot of birds here, it's a migration stopover point (you can't cut down trees willy nilly) called Audubon Woods and I'm finally going to listen to their superior common sense. I cleared 100 feet of woods in my backyard (had to get a permit) and in the early Fall we now get a few days when tens of thousands of starlings suddenly appear in the cleared area to feed and just as suddenly they leave. The entire lawn (~8000 sq feet) turns black and it's like living Hitchcock's The Birds. They don't feed on the smaller front lawn nor would they all fit.

My old neighbor, John (who is now 77) just stopped by for an hour and we caught up. Interesting man who we're fond of. I chose this small bowled pipe as a toast to John and to you Jim, just because. John told me this ditty.
Eoin O'Brien went to his doctor.
"What's the problem Eoin?"
"Doctor, I can't pee!"
"Eoin, how old are you?"
"97"
The doctor looked at Eoin thoughtfully then placed his had reassuringly on the old man's shoulder.
"Eoin, you've pee'd enough."
Exactly! I've had cold Winter enough.

I'm smoking up the Troost because I'm near the finish of this pouch. I actually think the Match is better, and I recently got a tin of the Slices, so I'm thinking about trying them soon. Nah, no baseball predictions. I see more variables with so many teams this year that it's hard to figure what's going to happen.
Starting off my smoking day with Old Colonial in a medium bend beater 1979 Aalborg natural freehand made by Nording. A bottle of Sprite is my drink.
