Had a cobload of an old favorite while on the river yesterday: Samuel Gawith, Chocolate Flake. Haven't visited this one in quite a while but it's always very nice. Pipe was heavily ghosted with Ennerdale so the SGCF was rather perfumey, especially toward the bottom. Still not bad tho.

Special thanks to @NeverBend for the pipe and @Tobias Lutz for the weed. This is nothing short of excellent.

Small bowl of SG 1792 flake in a Savielli price: pepper, vanilla and... something else. Very nice.

A bowl of Esoterica Stonehaven in a Pete spigot.
Glass of petite sirah makes a very nice pairing.

Puffing The Mallard (Dan Tobacco) in my Ardor Rhodesian. Recently it’s been hot here, but the thick bowl walls of this 3.2 oz pipe stay cool!

Italian Estates Ardor Urano Rhodesian with Boxwood (DR) (2019) | Buy Italian Estates Tobacco Pipes at Smokingpipes

TM is a mild and tasty Virginia grown in tropical Africa and press fermented. The fermentation process gives it a distinctive flavor.

Puffing Patriot Flake (Dan Tobacco) in my old Kirsten. Maybe my favorite tobacco. Certainly my favorite Virginia. A blend of Virginias grown in tropical India and the US. An intensive fermentation process gives it an interesting and unusual flavor. Another Dan Tobacco, The Mallard, is also fermented, but less intensively.

Puffing Super Value Black Cavendish in my Kirsten.

Super Value Black Cavendish 1.5oz | Buy Super Value Pipe Tobacco at Smokingpipes

The blurb says it has “a citrus and vanilla aroma”, but I can’t smell or taste anything but tobacco. I find it to be quite good. Mild, and inexpensive to boot.

Burned a bowl of Germain Plum Cake last night around the campfire. Then half a bowl of Solani 660. Given the campfire, it probably should have been a lat blend but I digress. Tonight probably Stonehaven but we'll see...

Correction. A couple of posts above I said I was Smoking Super Value Black Cavendish. But no, it was this Super Value Natural Cavendish:

Very good tobacco at a moderate price. Yesterday I ordered two more pouches of Super Value cavendishes: Amaretto and Cherry. Looking for good aromatics that aren’t too intense. I’m hopeful.

I'm pessimistic. Good luck anyway tho.
