It was awesome, the Lane was even better! Maybe just being a noob and that being my first aro with the Lane and I really enjoyed the subtle marshmallow tones in it. Thanks for both!

The flash of the camera makes it look a bit better. That's really good patina on the bit part. I need to do some research on these as I haven't seen anyone posting these much.

Puffing “The Mallard” (Dan Tobacco) in my Caminetto red pot with silver spigot mount. It’s time for some silver polish! I use Hagerty 10120. It’s not a magic bullet, but it’s as good as any, and better than some. If I get a little on the shank it mostly rubs off easily. Except if some gets into the stamping near the bottom end of the shank, so I protect that with a pice of Scotch Tape.

Burned a bowl of G&H Whiskey Twist in the gourd. Also had some braunschweiger on rye with roquefort, onions and tomato... washed all that down with cabernet sauvignon

Man, that sounds good! I keep baked-in-Germany Westphalian pumpernickel on hand. Pumpernickel, Braunschweiger, and raw onion make an awesome sandwich! Mustard & black pepper too, of course.

At my near-by grocery, I once asked for some sliced Braunschweiger. “We only have liverwurst,” the girl said. I pointed out a large sausage marked “Braunschweiger“ in the display case. “Well, we call it liverwurst,” she said. Whatever. .

Oh there was mustard... believe that. The bread was a vollkornbrot rye. Forgot about the fresh ground black pepper this time around. A bit of Tabasco would have also been good... and probably horseradish too There was a limit however, on just how much stuff I was willing to carry outside to the workshop so I could enjoy it with a smoke. I don't want my house smelling like tobacco smoke.
