I just popped the lid of a 4 yo tin of Capstan Medium (blue tin label) — puffing that now in my Caminetto red pot with silver spigot mount:

Caminetto Smooth Red Pot with Silver Spigot | Buy Caminetto Tobacco Pipes at Smokingpipes

BTW — I recently saw this Jess Chonowitsch pot for an eye watering $4,500 on SmokingPipes:

Jess Chonowitsch Sandblasted Pot with Horn | Buy Jess Chonowitsch Tobacco Pipes at Smokingpipes

The Chonowitsch is certainly a beautiful pipe, but for smoking, I wouldn’t trade my Caminetto for it, even though it cost me about 10% as much as the Chonowitsch (some years ago). And the Chonowitsch isn’t very pot-like, IMO.

I've been smoking the heck out of some GH Sweet Whisky twist in the last 24 hours in several pipes. Chief among them is a no-name French billiard that is shaped like a Dunhill LB billiard. That's why I bought it for $8.50, because of the shape. When I was deep cleaning it, I discovered that the stem was glued to the shank! Fortunately it passes a pipe cleaner through to the bowl without any trouble so I'm going to add it to the pack.

Puffing Hamborger Veermaster in my newish Mark Tinsky straight brandy. I’m really liking this pipe.

And feeling lucky that I scored 20 tins of HV a couple of months ago. Hard to find this tobacco in stock.

Hiked in the mountains today (White Oak Canyon for you northern Virgins) with Mrs. Bruck, and while doing so:
    1) had a lovely time
    2) smoked a few mini meerfuls of something from @Haebar , I think it was his VaPer, I could get up and look at the jar but I'm too lazy. Anyway it was excellent.
    3) saw a rattlesnake. nearly stepped on it but Mrs. Bruck was at my six and saw it first and hollered at me to get back
    4) had to cut the hike somewhat short bcs Mrs. Bruck's left boot and its sole became legally separated

I hate it when an otherwise good boot sells its sole.

I boated up river yesterday with my daughter and one of her friends. Burned a wallered out, MM Diplomat full of SG, Mayor's Chocolate Flake on the way. It's a small boat with a tiller engine. That places me at the stern so even the foulest smoke doesn't bother anyone... except in the event of a tailwind. Even then, chocolate flake smells really nice.

Puffing F&T Blackjack in my Caminetto straight pot. Blackjack is a light-red ready rubbed Virginia — no flavoring added, just good tobacco flavor. Kind of fluffy, it comes in a larger than usual 50g tin.

Puffing Hamborger Veermaster in my Luciano squat bulldog. I generally like tapered bits on bulldogs, but the saddle bit is just right for this one.

Had a couple bowls of Prince Albert earlier today while behind the wheel.

Now I'm on the balcony with a bowl of Sam Gawith Cabbie's Mixture in an unfinished Savinelli Series III.
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.
