Puffing Fribourg & Treyer Cut Virginia Plug in my dear old Kirsten Mariner. Lots of rich flavor, both from the excellent tobacco and the delicious flavoring. TobaccoReviews has it as “Flavoring: None Detected”. I laugh.
Of all the F&T tobaccos, this is the one that’s most frequently “Currently Out of Stock” at SmokingPipes.

LTF, due to the toppings/casings added, is considered by some to be an aromatic. It is not mentioned in the company's product description. That may be the reason for the disappointment.

We had the Knoxville Pipe Club Meeting last week last week and I got to try some new blends. The first one was a blend developed by Smoky's Tobacco and Cigars; it is called "Smoky's Flake and Perique". Dave was trying to fill a niche vacated by the closing of McClelland and came up with this blend. It is great! So good that I bought a pound of it. The production of the blend is labor intensive - one of the components, Virginia Flakes, is rubbed out by hand by store employees.
Another new one that I tried was Russ Oullette's Acadian Gold - this is a unique blend where they give some Virginia tobacco the same treatment that they use for making Perique, only they don't ferment and press it quite as long due to the high sugar content of the Virginia. This was a good smoke, very different and interesting in flavor. Being a limited edition at PipesandCigars.com, I ordered five tins of it for the cellar.

Puffing Solani 113, Sweet Mystery, in my old Kirsten Mariner. An aromatic that I kinda like. Occasionally.

PS LNF in a cob. I think I like the LBF the most with this being second. I will of course have to smoke more to be sure. You know, for science.
