Smoked about half a bowl of Newminster 403 (?) lumpy round slices in a small Savinelli billiard

Puffing Solani 763, White and Black. Partially rubbed out, but a very dense tobacco — I can get a lot of it (by weight) in my pipe.

I gouged out some Hamborger Veermaster — puffing that now in my Luciano stout bulldog. A mild and tasty Virginia. Occasionally I open a tin of HV where it’s possible to extract (with some difficulty) individual flakes. But even then I use the gouging-out technique, which works perfectly well.

Gouging-out technique? Please describe. Do you have any pics? Sounds interesting.

Having some Carter Hall in a cheap no-name briar. Very nice, haven't had this in a while.

No pics, but none needed for my crude gouging-out technique. I just force my thumbnail into the plug of tobacco to get about the right amount out. If my scale tells me I didn't get quite enough, I fish some more bits out of the tin to make the right weight. I say "plug", but it's actually a stack of welded-together flakes.

Having a cobful of Stokkebye 4th Generation 1931 VA flake. Quite nice. Why smoke a pipe? For me the answer is VA flakes and English blends

Puffing Solani Aged Burley Flake in my silver spigot Caminetto pot:
Caminetto Smooth Red Pot with Silver Spigot | Buy Caminetto Tobacco Pipes at Smokingpipes
Although short, it’s a substantial little pipe at 1.8 oz. When I bought it, I thought it would be a near-perfect pipe for me because it has so many of the characteristics that I like:
* Straight
* Shallow, broad tobacco chamber
* Thick bowl walls that don’t get too hot (I’m a holder)
* Looks good (in my eyes)
* It’s a pot – my second favorite pipe shape, after bulldogs
* Acrylic bit (easy maintenance, and hardness doesn’t bother me)
And it’s a sitter, to boot. I had some issues with this pipe, and put it away for awhile, but it’s going good now.

@Pipe Smoker
I got to browsing around that website and came across this beauty
Showed it to Mrs. Bruck who commented, that looks like a piece of poop! My sediments exactly.
And for the record, I'm having some C&D Burley Flake #1 (not #2) in a cheap no-name briar, bent square dublin in shape.
