I smoked my new Luciano stout bulldog for the first time today. I was prepared to endure an unpleasant break-in period, but had a happy surprise — even the first fill went down quite nicely. Now on my third fill — still good.
I spoke of “fills”, but, in fact, just half-fills so far. I chose Solani Aged Burley Flake for break-in. A good choice, in retrospect.
The pipe feels good in hand, has an easy draw, and takes pipe cleaners easily. Glad that I found this sturdy little fellow.

Yesterday was brew day with a friend.
Much beer and tobacco was consumed.
Voodoo Queen
MC 5110 with an additional 25% latakia
C&D Dark Chocolate
Elizabethan Match
I will say Voodoo Queen goes really nicely with Westbrook Mexican Cake!

I've got a small pile of McClelland 2015 rubbed out and drying and the remains of a couple open bottles of chardonnay begging to go with it.

I have a # of that somewhere. Don't remember where I stashed it.

Puffing F&T Special Brown Flake in my Kirsten Mariner. Sad to say that the 3 yo tin is nearly empty. With some flavored tobaccos the flavoring becomes tiresome near the end of the tin — not so with SBF. The rum flavoring (which tastes like butterscotch to me) isn’t overbearing. And the tobacco itself is excellent.

Quick Cobb of Stormfront while enjoying coffee this morning. Taking in the sun before having to head to work.
Golfed yesterday...hit mainly doubles but had 2 birdies mixed in to save me from shooting in the 100s....golf is so dumb.

Smoking my Luciano squat bulldog today. First fill was F&T Special Brown Flake, now Hamborger Veermaster. Both excellent!

Yep!
It's probably my fave burley blend. It has a nice, nutty flavor that mixes well with the more dark "fuller" notes of the cigar leaf.

Burning some vintage 2010 C&D Burley Flake #4, which is part of a burley bomb our friend
@Haebar
sent me a few years ago, that I'm still burning thru. It's just lovely.
Burley in general isn't an every day smoke for me, but when I feel like a burley, a burley really hits the spot
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.
