The "that" is tobacco.
Put the tobacco in a pipe, and you smoke it.

1 Missouri Meerschaum corncob pipe
1 Tin of good English tobacco (I.e. Dunhill Nightcap for a cigar smoker)
1 pack of standard pipe cleaners

Then if you like it at all, n00b sampler trade for pipes (either that or make a few posts about all the goopy bullshit aromatics you're trying and some piper will probably have mercy on you and send you a sampler of decent tobaccos right out of the blue)

Puffing Hamborger Veermaster. The mildest straight Virginia that I know of. Tasty too — perhaps the least hint of a topping. In my old Kirsten Mariner, of course.

This blend doesn't get much love, but I enjoy it a lot.

Smoking a bowl of SG Navy Flake from 2012 accompanied by a glass of chardonnay.
This blend has sure mellowed out with age.

Just finished a bowl of Dark Bird's Eye in a Dunhill billiard.

Managed to lay my hands on a 1/2 kg box of G&H Louisiana Flake. Going to smoke a small bowl at lunch to see if the Lakeland perfume is too much for me. Some of these G&H blends need a grannystink exorcism before they're fit to smoke.
