No smokery for the last few days but I did just make and eat a delicious sardine omelet. I might light up a bowl tomorrow evening... that last bowl of SRT tasted awful so I figured I'd give it a rest for a bit.

Smoked some Velvet from 1980 in my tomato pipe. I got a 100 ounce jar at Marshall’s and jarred my two 14 ounce tubs from 1980. Surprisingly, it was moist and smelled of dried figs. I put a boveda pack in the jar to try and reconstitute it a bit more but a very pleasant smoke.

Now on my third fill of F&T Special Brown Flake. Such a great savory flavor! When these tins were young the tin note was quite tart (but the taste was fine). But with three years of age, the tin note is quite pleasant.
    Cognition?
    On.

Had a bowl of Sam Gawith Chocolate Flake in a Barling Canadian last night. I haven't visited this blend for a long time but it's such a nice tasting tobacco. Unfortunately, it burned very wet last night. I had to dump the charge out and let it dry out again before transferring it to a smaller, dry pipe. I know that's about as unorthodox as it gets but I hate throwing away good tobacco and I still had half a beer left that needed a companion.

Today I'm planning on putting up a ceiling fan. I'll load up a bowl of McClelland 2015 to puff on once in a while as I work. This isn't really a yard gar type of pipe tobacco as it's just so good but life's too short and unpredictable to smoke crap tobacco.

All I can say is AMEN to that.

Started off with P&W #524 in my DG Savoy and now smoking LL Dark Red in my Swiss BBK.

    Thanks Scott!

It was probably Cornell & Diehl; they make an "Orient Express".

I'm smoking a bowl of Hearth & Home Prince Andrew in a Captain Black billiard. Drinking Maxwell House coffee and listening to "Live from Here" on NPR.

Yes it is C&D, I meant I didn’t know the brand of pipe. Good smoke though
