Well it's still good then. Bust off a hunk and drop it in your coffee cup

Just finished a bowl of 35 year-old MacBaren Virginia no.1 in a Sunrise billiard. Drinking Red Rose iced tea and listening to Country Squire Radio podcasts.

Perfect tobacco for this evening; timing is everything.......

This evening I am having a bowl of Ashton's Artisan's Blend in my extra large Savinelli 606. Early this afternoon I had been thinking of having Artisan's Blend for my evening smoke which is unusual because I have a habit of digging thru my stash and choosing based upon how I was feeling. This tobacco is exactly what I wanted at this particular time so "timing is everything". For me "Artisan's Blend" is a very special tobacco; you have the push and pull of the Latakia vs Perique. This tobacco is full flavored and has a unique flavor profile. I have found that Dunhill's "Nightcap" and "Artisan's Blend" are very similar but Nightcap's flavors seem to flow over each other whereas Artisan's Blend are very distinct so that you can taste the individual flavor inputs. I have about 7 or 8 tins in storage but I am concerned about Ashton's being able to continue making this same tobacco because they use Syrian Latakia and I do not think that Syria has been exporting their Latakia in several years because of political unrest. I am topping off this smoke with two small glasses of brandy and I am feeling very relaxed.

Had some Dunhill Elizabethan in a Peterson Kildare earlier.

Now enjoying a bowl of McClelland 40th Aniverssary in a bent Molina (not sure of the shape).

I checked P&C and Ashton no longer offer Syrian Latakia in this tobacco and I have not tried the changed blend.

Putting Solani 763, White and Black. Virginia, Cavendish, and Syrian Latakia. Despite the Cavendish, it’s certainly not an aromatic. Mild and mellow. TobaccoReviews says Syrian Latakia, but maybe not up-to-date.
    Cognition?
    On.
