Starting off the day with a bowl of McClelland 900 - Refined Tennessee Ribbon in a Captain Black billiard.

We had the Knoxville pipe club meeting tonight. Before anyone else got there I had a bowl of D&R Rimboche SJ in a Sunrise Amber Grain Dublin. Later had a bowl of 7 year old Low Country Waccamaw in an old Dunhill billiard and a bowl of 9 year old McClelland's Samovar in a Comoy's Guildhall billiard.

    An old friend.......

This evening I had a bowl of Ashton's "Artisan's Blend" in my extra large Savinelli 606. It has been awhile since I smoked this tobacco straight; I usually combine it with Dunhill's "Nightcap". I am again aware of this tobacco's delicious taste. Earlier in the month I found that I had to re-hydrate this tin; it was dry as dust. Looking at several of my tin tobaccos I realize that I need to re-hydrate several more. I don't have this problem with my jarred tobaccos that I transfer to my plastic baggies, but the tins do have a tendency to dry out. I topped off this smoke with an ice cold mug of "Guinness Draught" brew and I am enjoying this evening.

I'm not a big fan of English mixtures, but I always have a jar of Solani 779, English Luxury Mixture at hand for an occasional fill. After 3 bowls of ABF that occasion arose. It's pretty darned good.

What do you think about the D&R Rimboche SJ? I have a pound of it that I haven't busted open yet. Wasn't sure whether to sell it or bust it open....
