Smoking my last bowl of Tambolaka in a MM Country Gentleman with a Forever stem. Won't be ordering any of this tobacco to replace what I was given; there are too many other choices in twists, plugs and flakes that pack just as much punch and give more flavor. And besides that, Tambolaka is very expensive to buy here in the US.

I don't think it's even available anymore.
I was given some at one time. I tried one bowl... it wasn't without its charm. It was very earthy as I recall.
I went to smoke another bowl some time later but it had molded on me
AFAIK, it's a pure burley. Burley not being my thing I won't miss it much.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

You're correct. I wouldn't know where to buy it if I wanted it. 4 Noggins had it earlier this year but now they don't anymore.

Two bowls so far:
A Viking bent brandy with some 2012 Margate
Baraccini poker with some OGS
Enjoyed a saint-emilion grand cru from 2012 with it, great evening
RIP Don DeBusk, I miss you more than you’ll ever know my good friend.

I just opened a tin of F&T Cut Virginia Plug, nearly two years old. This stuff has a very rich and savory flavor. Two neat stacks of flakes in the small rectangular 50g tin.
F&T annoyed me by changing to a round Escudo-size tin -- takes more storage space. But I have 50+ small rectangular tins of CVP on hand, so it'll be awhile before I need more.

Smoking a little bowl of Tambolaka in the Hendon billiard this afternoon. Had an interview for a management position this morning and am winding down.

How’d the interview go?

It went really well, thanks for asking! I'm pretty sure they like me or else they are very good actors. I won't know if I got the job until next Friday.
About to light up some of a mystery blend that I got from P&C earlier this fall. They sent me what was supposed to be 8 oz of McClelland No. 2020 Matured Cake, but that wasn't what was in the bag. It was a ribbon-cut blend that smells slightly aromatic. P&C didn't know what it was since it was mislabeled. They told me to keep it and sent out a replacement order. This will be my first time smoking it and the pipe will be a Savinelli Silver billiard.

What are those containers in the background? I have not seen someone store tobacco in those before.

They are little 4 oz. polystyrene jars that a friend gave me; his wife works for a big environmental laboratory and they were throwing them out, she got them before they went in the dumpster (or the recycling bin).
