Just got back from Pipe Club night and had:

Germain's Royal Jersey in an old beat up Dunhill billiard - I really enjoyed this tobacco but don't know much about it; a friend gave me some.

Solani Aged Burley Flake in a an old beat up Dunhill billiard - I puffed this one too fast and let the pipe get too hot, then changed my smoking style after it cooled down.

Hands down my favorite at the moment.
I like to stagger the flakes so you can taste the transition from one to the other.

Having some of the new McClelland 40th Anniversary in a meer.
It's pretty good, but tastes young. I think I'll go ahead and jar the rest of this tin up and put it away for a while. I'm sure a couple years will do it a lot of good.

I finished out last night with a bowl of PS Navy Flake in a Dunhill Shell billiard. I was pleasantly surprised by this blend; it's very smooth and tasty. I thought it would be bitey.

I like the big 3 of theirs. Luxury Navy Flake, Luxury Bullseye Flake and Luxury Twist Flake are all really tasty.
    Have you tried the others?

When you said it was flakes, I knew that what I have is the wrong blend. Got it from a friend and he must have had the labeling on the bags mixed up. This stuff tastes like a lightly topped aromatic, don't know what it is. Just mixed 1/3rd of it with 2/3rds of G&H Black Irish X and it was a good smoke. The aromatic gave the monochromatic twist a little depth. Smoked it in a Comoy's Guildhall billiard.
